I think they didnt nerf PvE or PvP mainly, PvE'rs think it was nerfed for PvP, PvP'rs think it was for PvE, I think they just nerfed it for both sides, because it was needed (Urgoz exploit, AB exploit and IWAY winning halls only because of EoE). EoE can still do mass amounts of dmg, way more then a spirit should be able to. EoE bomb nerf...I dont care about that, I mean, c'mon, it's a fun build, I never lost to EoE bomb so..Nobody plays it as a fame farm build..

I think you should just get over it. EoE bomb was gonna get nerfed eventually, and the change hardly affects iway. I can't believe so many people are getting upset over this change.

I like how you say it has no effect in pvp when such a large number of the HA teams are IWAY or bspike.

this did not nerf iway people, maybe the dumb iways but the good iways are winning hoh so much more than before with this "nerf", it only takes about 1 minute to kill a team with iway (if you are in a good one), so you kill the holding team by 1:30 and then you have 1:30 to cap and kill the other team, i have been playing iway and am winning hoh every single time i get to it now.

Though I agree that it doesn't whipe out EoE in IWAY, and that it's still very useable in IWAY. I see no reason why you should be winning any more because of the update.

it pretty much made iway stronger in 1 vs 1 and capping altars is now easier because you just need to lay fs now + eoe (before it was hard to lay fs because if eoe bomb went off you were screwed) which makes it easier to cap, it takes 1 minute maximum to completely wipe the holding team (if the other team isnt dumb) and then you have another minute to kill enemy interrupters and cap.

i say that because (take away my learning exp in HA) i have never had a problem with IWAY or blood spike, sure when i did HA i did lose to IWAY, but EOE didnt have much effect in the losses to IWAY, the people playing IWAY were just good at what they did.

Great spirit update, iway got a big kick up thier ass. No more ab suiciders or other allience pvp. But i must say....eoe bombing in ab was fun beyond what i thought, especially at end game in ab, and all your team are running around in 1 stupid group, then all die (or other team) then every single player in the area goes puff

Edge of Extinction, still useful, and IWAY will keep it. Order of the Vampire, gone from IWAY and rarely seen again.

I've got to agree with SHARD on this one. I'm not even going to start discussing the mechanics of HA gameplay and build-by-build specific counters to IWAY and VIMway because that's really got nothing to do with it. The proliferation of these builds in HA has become such a point of contention over the past two months that it's reached embarassing levels. I recall someone saying in another thread that ANet would rebalance the game now and then if any particular build got too popular - to keep the game from stagnating. I don't have that link and thus I can't make the reference myself, but assuming this sentiment is true then some changes are long overdue. Hopefully the end of the championships this season will see the end of this VIMway trash once and for all.

I think the EoE nerf is a good one. Winning a game using the EoE bomb isn't exactly winning through skill imo.

Its funny that they only introduced the nerf when the bomb was being used in Alliance Battles. I think it shows how much A-Net actually cares about Heroes Ascent, don't you?

The nerf was actually a buff for IWAY. EoE now affects fewer IWAY members than before. Good IWAY teams (sorry for the oxymoron) apply pressure to the whole party not just an few members (Spikes one by one and balanced applies a bit more pressure and can lower health on a few party memebers) Balanced just can't apply the same pressure as IWAY. So when EOE does go off fewer of the IWAY team is affected. But on the other team, most if not all memebers are below 90% HP, well we die. Good news is, if you have some monks spamming heal party you have a better chance against IWAY. Hope that made sense.

you've never been screwed by eoe in HoH then - especially the days when it killed you and you missed your sigil or crystalline sword (i'll never forget that one)

My biggest problem with this nerf is that before, EoE affected both sides equally and a losing team could still turn the tide through EoE, esp. in Alliance Battles and a bit HoH too. (Not to speak of PvE).

Now, it is just another skills that gives the winning team, whose health is above 90% a bit of help.
